Biography
I was told that I was drawing before I could walk. I have memories of spending endless hours creating these grand scenes with any medium in my reach. This kind of creative frenzy came to me so naturally, that my parents knew this could only be enhanced with some special art classes that I took at the Museum of Fine Arts in my home town, Cincinnati.
In later years, when it came time for formal training, I attended the University of Cincinnati as a Fine Arts major. In this environment, painting with oils became my passion. After some life changes, I migrated by way of Florida with my new family, to Texas. The influence of this part of the country had an escalating effect on my art.
Over the years I have developed many reasons for each series that I have produced, but none have been so meaningful as this current stream of paintings that began after a trip into Mexico about six years ago. This is where my life took on new meaning and my art could only follow the path.
